Alpine Fairways – A Golf Journey Not Booked, but Composed
There is a spot on the Furka Pass, just past the third hairpin above Realp, where the valley opens up and the Rhône Glacier gleams in the distance. Some of our guests stop there, step out of the car, and say nothing at all for a while. It is moments like these that Alpine Fairways was created for – a private golf journey through four countries, seven stages, and some of Europe’s most breathtaking high-alpine roads. A composition we write anew for every guest.

Your Way to Travel – Behind the Wheel or in the Back Seat
Before we talk about fairways, one fundamental question: How would you like to experience the Alps?
True to BMW’s legendary promise of „Sheer Driving Pleasure,“ we place a vehicle of the very highest class at your disposal – a BMW X7, perhaps, or a convertible that demonstrates on the serpentines of the Furka, Oberalp, and Gotthard why these passes rank among the most legendary driving roads in the world.
If you would rather arrive than drive, you travel in a privately chauffeured luxury van. Your personal chauffeur knows every bend; your personal concierge knows something more valuable still – the doors that otherwise remain closed. The winemaker in the Passeier Valley who doesn’t sell his finest vintage, but shares it. The tee time that officially doesn’t exist. The table that is never available. Both options can, of course, be combined: at the wheel today, relaxed in the back seat tomorrow.
Munich – The Overture

The journey begins at the Mandarin Oriental Munich, just steps from Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarkt, yet a world unto itself. Munich is the right place to arrive: an evening between opera and Michelin-starred dining, a morning in the English Garden, perhaps a private tour of a collection that otherwise opens by appointment only. Here you take delivery of your vehicle – or meet your chauffeur, who will accompany you from this point on.
First Golf Stop: Seefeld – Tyrol in Its Purest Form

A good hour later, the Alps have you. The Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol sits enthroned at 1,300 metres above the Seefeld plateau, and the first tee shot of this journey comes with a backdrop against which everything that follows must be measured: the Karwendel and Wetterstein ranges close enough to touch. After your round, one of the largest spa sanctuaries in the Alps awaits – or a quiet dinner overlooking peaks that slowly fade into the dusk.

Merano – Where the Alps Turn Mediterranean
Descending over the Jaufen Pass into the Passeier Valley, everything changes: the light, the air, the vegetation. Palm trees beside glacier views, vineyards beside three-thousand-metre peaks. The Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier is the private fortress of these contrasts – with its own golf course right at the resort and the famous Golfclub Passeier only few kilometers north. Merano itself merits an afternoon beneath its historic arcades, and should you wish, your personal concierge will open one of those wine cellars whose bottles never reach the market.
St. Moritz – The Legend
Then, the Engadin. There are hotels, and there is Badrutt’s Palace – since 1896 the very definition of what a grand hotel can be. Here you play golf on Switzerland’s oldest course in Samedan, at 1,700 metres, where the ball flies noticeably farther and the panorama puts every ounce of concentration to the test. The drive over the Julier or Bernina Pass is one of the great motoring moments of this journey; the evenings belong to the town itself – glamorous, idiosyncratic, unmistakable.
Andermatt – The Quiet Sensation

Few destinations have transformed themselves in recent years quite like Andermatt. The hidden mountain village at the Gotthard has become one of the most exciting luxury addresses in the Alps – and The Chedi Andermatt is its centrepiece: Asian serenity, Swiss precision, a cheese tower as a cathedral of indulgence. The multi-award-winning 18-hole championship course lies nestled in the Ursern Valley as if placed there by hand, framed by peaks on every side. And right outside the door: Furka, Oberalp, Gotthard. Three passes, one day, memories for decades.
Crans-Montana – Golf’s Grand Stage
In the Valais, the journey reaches its sporting climax. Crans-Montana has for decades hosted the Omega European Masters – Switzerland’s most prestigious golf tournament – and anyone who has played on this high plateau above the Rhône Valley understands why: sun-drenched fairways, and before them the entire chain of the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks, from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc on the horizon. The Guarda Golf Hotel & Residences sits directly beside the course – an intimate house of rare elegance that feels like a private residence with impeccable service.
Geneva – The Finale
Geneva sets the closing chord. At the Mandarin Oriental Geneva, right on the Rhône, you let the past days pass in review – over a final dinner overlooking the water, a stroll to the famous Jet d’Eau, perhaps a visit to one of the city’s great watchmakers, for whom we are happy to open a private door. From here, your chauffeur takes you to the airport or private jet terminal – or you extend your stay. That, too, is simply a question of your wishes.
Your Journey, Your Signature
No two Alpine Fairways journeys are alike. Some guests request a private golf pro to accompany them across every stage. Others, a helicopter transfer over the glaciers, a candlelit wine tasting at a historic South Tyrolean manor, or a day of rest on which nothing at all is planned – except perfection in the background. Duration, sequence, hotels, and experiences: everything takes shape in personal conversation, everything is tailored to you. Throughout, you are accompanied by your personal concierge – worldly, professional, and discreet. At your side around the clock, seven days a week.
What remains is always the same: the feeling of having experienced the Alps in a way reserved for only a very few.
